Back in school somewhere in Europe, I had this notion that Naija was a disaster. Although I hadn't been out for long but, a different people, environment, culture etc completely changed my perception about my country. It was more so because whenever I read news about Nigeria it was always something negative. At a point I became scared to return to my country as alI I heard were bomb blasts here and there. Looking in from the outside made my once beloved country so very unfamiliar to me. Thankfully I came back home for the summer holidays. As I strolled and toured around the city of Abuja my perception began to change again, and I was like oh... Naija doesn't depict the imaginary picture I had created in my mind. It can actually be a beautiful and fun place, and we Nigerians are a peaceful and fun loving people. I visited a park (Jabi lake) a couple of times and was astonished at how people from all tribes and religions come to the park to have fun, people just go there, do their thing and make merry. I took a few pics which I'm going to share with you guys. Whenever I look at these pics I laugh hard and my hopes for my coutry are renewed, because these pics tell a story. These pics tell me that we Nigerians are one. We as a people, at this level represent a united front.
